Iris van Herpen has a knack for blending fashion and science.
He showcases this once again in his latest collection of clothing that explores the fragility of marine ecosystems.
This collection, called Earthrise, was unveiled at Paris Haute Couture Week on July 5 and consists of 19 dresses filled
with the Dutch designer's signature layers and structural embellishments.
Elegant and carefully structured garments seamlessly combine aquatic motifs and colors in a dynamic collection that
focuses on protecting the environment, both aesthetically and materially. According to Iris van Herpen,
Earthrise is a view of our planet with no national borders, no hierarchies, not even a right-hand side.
